Girl, 8, fighting for life after being hit by car in Stoke-on-Trent

Police are now appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage

Officers are appealing for information after an eight-year-old local girl sustained serious injuries in a collision in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, yesterday (Wednesday 5 January).

Police were called at 4.55pm to Pinfold Avenue.

A silver Hyundai was found in collision with the child who was conveyed to hospital by air ambulance where she remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries.
