Police are investigating after a dog was attacked by two other dogs in Stoke-on-Trent, one of which is thought to be an XL Bulley.

It happened at around 4.35pm on Tuesday 9 April on Causeley Road in Beintilee.

The 10-month-old springer spaniel suffered serious injuries and was taken to a vet for treatment. She is now recovering at home.

The two dogs who attacked the spaniel were alone at the time. They were described to us as an XL Bully and a pocket bully.

One of them is described as tri-coloured, whilst the smaller dog was tanned with cropped ears.

Anyone with information can contact Staffordshire Police on 101.
