Fight in Stoke-on-Trent leads to damage, injuries and arrests

Police say they're looking through CCTV footage after a number of people were rushed to hospital after a big fight in Stoke-on-Trent.

It happened on Church Street on Saturday (28th August) at around 1.30am - where a number of shops and cars had also been damaged.

When officers attended and found two male casualties who were taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment.

A number of shops had sustained damage to their windows, while a number of cars also sustained damage.

A total of five males were detained at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, all from the Stoke-on-Trent area, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

The 27-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.

They have each been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time and ask anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
