There are fears falling donations to foodbanks across Staffordshire could lead to a point where not everyone needing support can get it locally.

The Trussell Trust says in the last year more than 116-thousand parcels were given out across both Staffordshire and Cheshire.

27-thousand of those were to people in Stoke-on-Trent alone.

It comes after charities told us some families are being forced to ask foodbanks outside of the area for things like nappies and baby formula, with one baby bank in Derbyshire saying they're now catering for families in Stoke.

"That is our biggest challenge at the minute. It's hard to ask the community for donations when we know they're already struggling." said Eileen, who runs the Stafford Foodbank.

"We have some real brilliant individuals and organisations that come along and help us, but it's hard. And when we put a call out, that's when you know we are very very desperate."

"We've done a lot more referring now, we work hand in hand with our local Citizens Advice and we also referred a lot more people to Beat The Cold - they're helping a lot of people - a lot of working people with things like electricity.

"When is this situation going to end?"
