Dean Holden leaves Stoke City assistant role

He joined the club to work with ex manager Michael O'Neill.

Dean Holden has left his role as Stoke City assistant manager.

Well in his final game with the club he was interim boss as they gained a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers when asked about his future, he focused on the win instead.

That victory was watched on in the stands by Alex Neil.

Stoke Joint Chairman John Coates said: “The professionalism that Dean brought to his position with us has never been more evident over the last 48 hours, culminating in him guiding us to victory at Blackburn this afternoon.

“We are grateful for his efforts over the past 16 months and wish him every success for the future.”
