Man jailed for keeping drugs in Stoke-on-Trent address

Drugs were found in cupboards, a suitcase, and in a freezer

A man has been jailed after officers found drugs in an address in Stoke-on-Trent following an anonymous tip-off.

36-year-old David Ansell has been jailed for two-years-and-three-months.

Officers say they received a tip-off that Ansell was storing drugs at a property in Tunstall.

They searched the property and found drugs in a cupboard, a suitcase, and in the freezer.

Around £25,000-worth of cannabis, £1,500-worth of cocaine, and £6,500-worth of amphetamines were seized.

Ansell pleaded guilty to:

  • possession with intent to supply class A drugs, cocaine
  • two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, cannabis and amphetamine.
