Crewe Alex's Boxing Day game against Wigan Athletic has been postponed because of Covid.

Latics told the EFL earlier today that due to both the number of Covid-19 cases and injuries, they'll be unable to fulfil the fixture.

In a statement on their website, Crewe Alex said: "Crewe Alexandra Football Club regrets to inform supporters that our Boxing Day game against Wigan Athletic has been postponed.

"Wigan informed the EFL earlier today that due to a number of Covid cases and injuries that they will be unable to fulfil the fixture.

"A new date for the game will be announced in due-course. All tickets for the game will remain valid for the rearranged fixture."

Stoke City's match against Barnsley has already been cancelled, and Port Vale's fixture against Rochdale is still going ahead on 29 December.
