Teenager taken to hospital after car crashes into Stoke-on-Trent health centre

A man's been arrested, and another person is believed to have fled the scene

A man has been arrested following a one-vehicle collision in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called at around 3.20am on Tuesday (21 December) to Elder Road. Fire fighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended.

Upon arrival, officers found a silver Audi A3 in collision with the front gates of a health centre.

One person had departed the scene on foot.

A 26-year-old man, believed to be the driver, was arrested for failure to provide a specimen. He remains in police custody while inquiries continue.

An 18-year-old man was conveyed to hospital by officers.

Inquiries are ongoing.
