Appeal after cat killed with air gun in Crewe

Cheshire Police say they're trying to find the person responsible

An investigation's underway into the death of a cat that was killed with a 'pellet type air gun' in Crewe last week.

A report was received at around 3.30pm on Wednesday 27 April that a cat had died at an address in the Tomkinson Close area of Crewe.

The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 10am and 11am on the same day in the James Atkinson Way area.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Louis Martin, of Crewe Local Policing Unit (LPU) said: "This incident has been very distressing for the owner and we are doing all we can to locate the person responsible and bring them to justice.

"If anyone in the local area may have witnessed anything that didn't look quite right or have any information that could assist us, please get in touch."
