Police are appealing information after a cannabis factory was found at a property in Burslem.

Officers were called at 10:32pm on Sunday 4 July to Fraser Street following reports of suspicious activity.

Offenders reportedly carried cannabis plants from a property, along Lindley Street and onto Sudlow Street, where it is believed they made their escape in a silver Renault Laguna.

Officers attended an address on Fraser Street and found around 150 cannabis plants.

While looking for how the electricity at the property had been bypassed, another cannabis grow was found in an adjoining house.

Officers remained at the scene until 11:15pm on Monday (5 July) while forensic work was carried out and the energy supplier made the properties safe.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Anyone who saw what happened or may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 784 of 4 July.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. "
