Boy in hospital after colliding with bus in Runcorn

Officers investigating a serious collision in Runcorn are appealing for any witnesses or those with footage to get in touch with them.

At 7.14pm on Monday 4 August, police were called to reports of a collision on West Lane, Runcorn, which involved a bus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time.

As part of enquiries into the incident, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to officers.

Inspector Steve Griffiths said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident as we investigate what happened.

“We’d urge people to get in touch with us via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or by calling 101. Please quote IML-2147879.

“The same goes for anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage which could aid our enquiries.”
