Bomb squad on scene after detonators found in Hanford

Staffordshire Police are currently on scene at an address in Hanford after receiving reports of some detonators being found.

The force says they were called at 11.05am this morning and following an assessment officers put a 100-metre cordon in place as a precaution and Explosive Ordnance Disposal were called.

EOD are on their way to carry out an assessment.

Police have offered the following advice: "If you come across something you believe to be an explosive, please do not pick it up, move it or tamper with it in any way. Maintain a safe distance of approximately 10 metres if you can and make others aware in the area. Call 999 as soon as possible."
