Armed police swoop on street in Stafford... to find man with jet wash

Armed police have descended on a street in Staffordshire only to find it was a man holding a jet wash.

They were called yesterday afternoon to Oxford Gardens in Stafford, following reports of a man with a gun.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson told us: "Police were called at 12.50pm this afternoon (Tuesday 8 March) to reports that a man with a gun was seen on Oxford Gardens in Stafford.

"Firearms officers attended. Enquiries showed that the item was a jet wash, along with tools."
