Appeal for witnesses after woman and child seriously injured in A50 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious crash on the A50 near Blythe Bridge late last night (25 August).

Emergency services were called just before ten o’clock to reports of a silver Mercedes on its roof between Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter.

A woman and a child were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Another woman was also taken to hospital, though her injuries are not thought to be as severe.

Officers say they want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time.
