Appeal after deliberate fire in Mcdonalds in Stoke-on-Trent

Police are appealing for information after a fire at a Mcdonalds toilets, which they believe was started deliberately.

It happened around 4.50pm on 8 December last year inside the fast food store in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Two girls, who were about 16 or 17 went into the toilets and left after the fire alarm started going off.

The restaurant was evacuated after smoke was seen coming from the toilets.

Officers are now keen to speak to people who were there at the time as part of our enquiries.

Both girls are described as white and about 5ft 7in tall.

One of them was wearing a black jacket, a black Nike top and white shoes. The other one was wearing a black jacket and black shoes.
