2 arrested in Macclesfield as part of 'Operation Toxic'

Merseyside Police and Cheshire Constabulary partner to seize suspected Class A drugs

Two people have been charged with drug supply offences as part of a joint operation between Merseyside Police and Cheshire Constabulary.

Yesterday (Wednesday 22 October), a man and a woman were arrested following a warrant in the Macclesfield area after cash and suspected Class A drugs were seized from the location.

The charges came as a result of 'Operation Toxic,' as part of Project Medusa. It comes under an initiative led by Merseyside Police in an aim to tackle drug dealing and child criminal exploitation.

Michael Ault, 50, of Maple Avenue, Macclesfield, was charged with Possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Victoria Scott, 37, of Knutsford Walk, Macclesfield, was charged with Possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Both have been remanded in custody and will appear as Chester Magistrate's Court today.
