A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in Congleton.
Cheshire Police were called on Sunday afternoon following reports a woman had been touched inappropriately on Mountbatten Way.
The teenager has since been released under investigation.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 2.45pm on Sunday 26 September following reports that a woman had been touched inappropriately on Mountbatten Way.
"Police swiftly attended the scene.
"A search of the area took place and officers arrested a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of sexual assault.
"He has since been released under investigation."
