Staffordshire & Cheshire is an amazing place to be, whatever the weather, but it's particularly brilliant in the sunshine! We've put together the best things to do in the sunshine right here in Staffordshire & Cheshire (you can thank us later 😉)! Whether you’re wanting an ice cream in a beer garden, or a family fun day this list has it covered.
Staffordshire & Cheshire has some of the best Al Fresco dining options, with a range of food options at many different price points, there really is something for everyone.
There's plenty of choice at the top end, with some incredible restaurants like the No 26 at Aston Lock. There's a great selection of pubs across Staffordshire & Cheshire if pub grub is more your scene. The Dog & Doublet in Sandon has beautiful views of the Canal, if you wanted something slightly different, the Plume of Feathers in Barlaston is a great choice. It's a joint Venture with local actor Neil Morrissey who has his own ales on sale.

It's a great chance to marvel at the beauty of other people's gardens.
There are loads of public gardens to visit in Staffordshire & Cheshire...from the Trentham Estate to Keele Hall's stunning grounds.

We have some of the very best parks and natural beauty spots right here in Staffordshire & Cheshire, such as Cannock Chase and Deep Hayes country park. When a sunny day hits, it's the perfect opportunity to pack up your picnic basket and enjoy some of the natural beauty our incredible region has to offer.
Visit a local park
We're lucky enough to have some of the best parks right here in Staffordshire & Cheshire! Stoke has Hanley Park and Fenton Park, Crewe has Queens Park and Lime Tree Park, Congleton has Astbury Mere Country Park and Congleton Park, meanwhile in Northwich there's some brilliant local parks such as Vickersway Park and Anderson Nature Park.
