Three sentenced over dealing of Class A drugs in Woodhouse
The trio were using the homes of vulnerable people to prepare drugs for sale
Three members of a drug dealing gang convicted of selling heroin and crack cocaine on the streets of Woodhouse have been sentenced.
21 year olds Kai Bean, of Tithe Barn Avenue and Tommy Maughan of Badger Close and a 17 year old who can't be named were all charged with offences which happened between July 2023 and July 2024.
Officers were able to determine the group were using the homes of vulnerable people to deal Class A drugs.
Victims were told they owed the group a debt and had to allow them to use their properties.
Police managed to build a case against the trio after seizing mobile phones which were used to facilitate drug deals worth an estimated £250,000.
The trio admitted to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine while the boy also pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Maughan was also sentenced for two dangerous driving offences, S20 wounding offence, criminal damage to a police car, assaulting a police officer, and driving without insurance and a licence.
Bean and Maughan will serve a six year prison term, with Maughan also being handed a nine year driving ban.
The 17-year-old boy was sentenced to three years in a youth detention centre.

"Our work with the victims in this case was key to unlocking the true scale of the harm this trio were causing to the people of Woodhouse.
"Our teams have worked exceptionally hard to achieve today's result, and I'm pleased to see Maughan, Bean, and their teen accomplice brought to justice."
