Woman dies in Thurnscoe house fire
Fire crews were called out to a house on Boxing Day morning

A woman has died after a house fire in Thurnscoe, on Boxing Day.
Firefighters were called to Landsdowne Close at 9.20am, following reports of a premise fire.
Upon arrival they found a fully developed bedroom fire, with a woman thought to be trapped inside.
Despite the best efforts of crews, to extinguish the fire and rescue the casualty, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire and police investigators are currently working to establish the cause of the fire – but it is not thought to be suspicious.
