Woman dies in Sheffield bungalow fire

A woman has died following a fire at a bungalow in Sheffield late on Saturday night.

Firefighters from Central and Rivelin fire stations responded to the blaze on Hardy Place at around 10.45pm on 23rd December.

The woman was rescued from the property, but she tragically died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.

Firefighters remained at the scene until shortly after midnight.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
