It's been claimed that the lives of people with learning difficulties in South Yorkshire could be put at risk if they don't get greater access to a coronavirus vaccine.

The charity MENCAP is warning that they're six times more likely to die from COVID than the general population.

Dave Swindlehurst is from the Sheffield branch- he says those with disabilities can often struggle to access treatment for even basic illnesses;

"The fact that there's a greater percentage of the learning disability population who live in care settings exacerbates this situation.

"Surely that's an even more compelling argument that people with a learning disability should be given a greater priority?"

Mr Swindlehurst also tells us he's looking forward to hearing more information on the rollout;

"I think the details needs to be made more accessible, both to reassure and encourage uptake."
