Two teens hurt after weekend of violence in Sheffield

A 16 year old's been shot in the back and a 19 year old stabbed in two separate incidents

Two teenagers have been seriously injured in two separate incidents in Sheffield - as violence again erupts in the city.

The first is a 16 year old who's fighting for his life in hospital after being shot in the back at Thirlwell Road in Heeley on Saturday (29th February).

A man aged 30 who was in a car with him and suffered minor injuries has been arrested on suspicion of being over the drink drive limit and having a bladed weapon.

The second incident occured early on Sunday (1st March) at Carver Street in the City Centre.

Officers were called to reports a 19 year old man had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital where he's in a serious condition.

A man aged 23 has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A cordon remains in place for investigations on Carver Street and Division Street.
