Two charged with attempted murder after Sheffield city centre stabbing

Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing this weekend in Sheffield city centre.

Police were called to Earl Street at around 5am on Sunday (November 10) funding a 29 year old with serious injuries.

He is now being treated in hospital.

Wayne Atkinson, 32, of William Street, Sheffield, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, and possession of a bladed article.

Brendon Atkinson, 29, of William Street, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

Both men have been remanded into custody an appearance at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today.
