Two charged after fatal Doncaster crash

It comes after a 30 year old woman was killed in Bawtry back in 2022

Two people have been charged over a fatal crash in Bawtry, Doncaster, two years ago.

Police were called shortly after midnight on July 24 2022 to the A638 High Street.

A vehicle had hit two pedestrians and failed to stop at the scene.

A 30 year old woman was killed, while a 33 year old woman was hospitalised with minor injuries.

Matthew Harris, 36, of Burcroft Hill, Conisbrough, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and causing death by driving whilst unlicensed or uninsured.

Meryl Chambers, 51, of Burcroft Hill, Conisbrough, has been charged with aiding and abetting death by driving whilst unlicensed or uninsured.

Both are due to appear before Doncaster Magistrates' Court on January 7.
