Three charged following firearms incident in Westfield

The men are now due to appear in court today

Three men have been charged in connection with a firearms incident in the Westfield area of Sheffield on Monday evening (1 March).

Isiah Ellis, 21, of Shortbrook Way, Benjamin Wilks, 20, of Spinkhill View and Chris Collins, 31, of Grange Road have each been charged with attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life contrary to Section 16 of the Firearms Act.

All are due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (4 March).

Police were called to Cowley Gardens at 11.20pm on Monday, following reports that two men, aged 25 and 26, had suffered gunshot injuries.

The pair were taken to hospital for medical treatment and have since been discharged.

A fourth man, aged 21, who was arrested as part of the investigation has since been released on conditional police bail.
