Teenager assaulted after being hit by a firework

The incident happened towards the start of this month.

South Yorkshire police have launched an appeal for information after a teenager was assaulted in Darnall.

It is reported that on 9 October at around 5:30pm, a 14-year-old boy was with a group of friends when they were approached by a group of teenagers holding fireworks.

The teenagers aimed fireworks directly towards the group.

One of these fireworks hit the victim in the face, he had a cut to his face, which required hospital treatment.
