Teenager appears in court after stabbing in Barnsley

The 17 year old has been charged after a 15 year old boy was left with serious injuries.

A 17 year old boy has appeared in court charged in connection with a stabbing which left another teenager with serious injuries in Barnsley on Sunday.

It happened in the Fish Dam Lane area of Monk Bretton the victim is in a stable condition in hospital.

The teenager who was arrested has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

Police are still looking for witnesses in connection with the incident.
