Ice and snow hits parts of South Yorkshire

Met Office has issued a yellow warning to the region

From 10am this morning (6 January), snow and ice hit parts of South Yorkshire.

With certain areas issued a yellow warning by the Met Office for the next couple of days.

The Met Office have also warned that there could well be disruption to travel and people are advised to allow extra time for journeys by car and by foot.

Where is snow expected in your area?

  • Sheffield: Could see some light snowfall on Friday 7 January
  • Barnsley: Snow on Friday at 9am
  • Rotherham: Light snow expected on Friday
