South Yorkshire's Mayor tells us he's been left 'baffled' by recent developments at Westminster.

We've been speaking to Oliver Coppard following Boris Johnson's resignation as Prime Minister last week-which triggered a Cabinet reshuffle-with an interim Government set up until his replacement is found.

He's eager to crack on with various projects to try & help 'level up' the region but says progress has inevitably stalled due to recent changes within the Government:

"We need a period of stability; we need a period of calm at the top of Government.

"We've got investments that we're talking to Government about at the moment that are worth billions of pounds to South Yorkshire's economy and potentially thousands of jobs.

"Frankly, I'm less concerned by what's been going off at Downing Street and more concerned about the impact on people's jobs here in South Yorkshire."

Greg Clark was appointed as the Levelling Up Secretary last week following Michael Gove's dismissal from the role.
