Pram Man honoured at Pride of Britain Awards

A South Yorkshire legend has been named fundraiser of the year at The Pride of Britain Awards!
The iconic pram man - who we have all seen in his green wig pushing a pram - reached the million pound fundraising mark in May.
John Burkhill started fundraising after the death of his wife and daughter.
The Pride of Britain Awards said:
"John Burkhill is the ITV Fundraiser of the Year ✨
"Known in Sheffield as ‘The Man With The Pram’ John Burkhill, 84, reached the million pound fundraising mark in May after years walking the streets of the city with his trademark pram and green wig.
"He has also taken part in more than 1,000 races, including the Great North Run in September. John started fundraising after the death of his wife to cancer in 1993, which came a year to the day after his daughter Karen died due to complications with a routine procedure. 💜"
