Sheffield United and Southampton have both been fined £20,000, after confrontations between players at Bramhall Lane earlier this month.

The FA says both clubs breached their rules when tempers boiled over in extra time during Saints' 2- nil win on March 6th.

It happened after Blades midfielder John Fleck fouled Southampton's Che Adams.

Fleck was shown a yellow, but Southampton players demanded more from referee Paul Tierney.

Blades strike Oli McBurnie and Saints defender Jannik Vestergaard were then also booked.

The FA says: "Both clubs admitted failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 90th minute and accepted the standard penalty.'"
