Man suffers "life-threatening" injuries in serious Sheffield stabbing

Police are investigating after a man suffered serious injuries in a stabbing in Sheffield city centre.
The incident took place on Earl Street, south of the city centre, close to the Moor Market on Sunday morning (November 10th).
Officers were alerted to the incident at 5:05am after receiving reports of a serious assault from members of the public.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 29-year-old man who had suffered serious stab wounds to his body.
The victim was taken to hospital and currently remains in the care of medical professionals.
According to South Yorkshire Police, the injuries that he sustained in the attack are "thought to be life-threatening".
Investigations are now underway as the force looks to find who was responsible for the attack on the man.
A cordon has been placed on Earl Street while officers conduct forensic investigations, while people are being urged to avoid the area if at all possible.
