Police arrest fourth person in Sheffield park murder investigation
Sacad Ali died in Ponderosa Park in Sheffield last weekend
South Yorkshire Police have arrested a fourth person in connection with the murder of a man in a park in Sheffield last weekend.
Sacad Ali died in Ponderosa Park in the Netherthorpe area of the Sheffield last Saturday (March 9th), at the age of 24. He was thought to have suffered several stab wounds.
Emergency services were called to the scene in order to give emergency medical attention Ali, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police discovering his body launched a murder investigation in order to piece together how he died.
Following the launch of the investigation, two teenage boys and one woman were arrested by officers in connection with his death.
Rebecca Moore, 24, of Springvale Walk in Sheffield, appeared alongside the two teenage boys at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Friday (March 15th) charged with his murder.
The two boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also charger with the possession of an offensive weapon.
The force has now arrested a fourth man in connection with the murder. The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The 19-year-old currently remains on bail and may be brought back to the force to answer further questions.
The remaining three suspects have been remanded in police custody until their next court appearance at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday (March 18th).
