Sheffield dealer involved in £200,000 drugs line jailed for almost a decade
Live ammunition was also found at the home of 28 year old Kareem Derhim
A Sheffield drug dealer has been jailed for nine years and two months, for his involvement in a £200,000 network selling class A drugs.
28 year old Kareem Derhim admitted possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine, as well as possession of cannabis, and acquiring ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
He was arrested in December 2023 following a raid on his Oxspring Bank home, during which officers seized heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, and cannabis.
Live ammunition was also discovered in a safe.
Sergeant Paul Ganecki, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “I am glad to see Derhim receive a lengthy sentence for his involvement in the trade of destructive drugs.
“The county lines operation, which Derhim was a part of, traded quantities of Class A drugs valued at hundreds of thousands of pounds, but the true cost is far more than financial.
“Illegal drugs devastate lives and communities, and county lines operations exploit vulnerable people in an effort to peddle these substances across the county.
“Derhim will have years to reflect on the harm he has caused. Meanwhile, the streets of South Yorkshire will be safer with him behind bars.”
