Police appeal for information after pedestrian dies in Sheffield crash

A woman in her 60s has been pronounced dead after being hit by a car in Sheffield this morning.

The collision, involving a black Audi, happened near the Halifax Road junction with Kilner Way at approximately 5.43am.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been informed.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police enquiries.

Halifax Road was temporarily closed in both directions while officers carried out investigations but has since been reopened.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage to get in touch on 101.
