Police appeal for witnesses as boy injured in collision in Sheffield
The collision between a motorbike and a car early happened on Saturday
Police in South Yorkshire are appealing for information and witnesses after a boy sustained serious injuries in a collision in Sheffield.
Officers first received reports of a collision on Hatfield House Lane, close to the junction with Sicey Avenue just after 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning (February 10th).
Responders arrived on the scene to find a black Audi A3 and a black Suzuki motorcycle damaged after colliding with each other.
Police in the area closed the road off, with a cordon put in place as they carried out their initial investigations, with the road opening again at around 1 p.m.
The person driving the motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital as a result of the crash, where is said to have been seriously injured.
The driver of the Audi immediately stopped at the scene and has been helping officers in their enquiries as officers try to piece together how the crash took place.
Police are now looking to speak to anyone who have seen the crash take place or any relevant information from the time leading up to the incident.
In particular, the force are keen to find the driver of a white saloon vehicle that was spotted on CCTV close to the scene, who officers believe, directly saw the incident.
As well as this, officers are looking to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage of the area where the crash took place. Additionally, anyone with dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.
