Police have launched an investigation into a series of arson attacks across Sheffield over the past three days.

Fire crews were initially called to Tynker Avenue at 3:52am on Sunday (February 23), funding a bin had been set ablaze and flames had spread to a nearby home.

Later, at 5:47am, they arrived at the scene of a second fire on Bramshill Close.

This time a caravan had been set slight, with the fire spreading further.

A 1:56am this morning (February 25) South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue responded to reports of another bin fire on Meadow Gate Avenue.

This time a Land Rover and Porsche car close to the bin had also set alight, leading to extensive damage to both the vehicles and nearby property.

Nobody was injured during any of the incidents, however South Yorkshire Police believe they could be linked.

Anyone with information, or CCTV footage taken in the affected areas at the time, is being urged to contact officers on 101.
