Police carry out woodland searches for missing Doncaster woman
63-year-old Pam Johnson hasn't been seen since leaving a home in Winchester Avenue last Thursday (March 14)
Police investigating the disappearance of a woman from Doncaster have carried out searches of woodland, a week on from when she went missing.
Pam Johnson, 63, was last seen at 19:00 on Thursday 14 March leaving a house in Winchester Avenue.
Half an hour later, a woman believed to be Pam - also known as Shirley - was seen on CCTV in the Winchester Avenue and Thorne Road areas.
Detectives have carried out underwater searches, used drones and dogs, and off-road bike teams in their search for Pam.
However, they have not been able to confirm any further sightings.
Officers have today (March 21) carried out searches of Sandall Beat Wood, near to where Sam went missing.
South Yorkshire Police Superintendent Eleanor Welsh said: "I want to take this opportunity to thank the local community here in Wheatley and also ask them to continue to look out for anything that may help us find Pam.
"This includes searching your sheds, gardens and outhouses for anything that’s out of the ordinary.
"I also want to urge anyone with CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage which they haven’t already shared with officers to report it to us.
You will continue to see an increased police presence in the area as our work continues.
"I would encourage anyone locally to stop and speak to our officers as we continue our search."
Pam is described as a white woman with short, mousey brown hair, of average build and is 5ft 7ins tall.
She was last seen wearing a black coat, black trousers, black boots and believed to be carrying a white carrier bag.
She also wears a gold cross and chain necklace.
