Police investigating a fatal shooting in Sheffield are carrying out searches of a property in the Burngreave area.
19-year-old father of two Kevin Pokuta died in hospital last week, after he was shot in the Page Hall area early last Tuesday (12 December).
Detectives were seen in Denholme Close this morning, with South Yorkshire Police expected to stay there all day.
DCI Joanne Kemp, Senior Investigating Officer, said: “Our murder investigation is progressing at pace and we are working tirelessly to trace those responsible for Kevin’s tragic death. We are carrying out multiple enquiries and today’s warrant is just one aspect of the ongoing work taking place.
“There is no place for gun crime in our communities and we will not stop until we have secured justice for Kevin and his young family.”
Father-of-two Kevin, aged 19, was fatally shot in the early hours of Tuesday 12 December and sadly died in hospital the following day. A post mortem examination concluded he died as a result of a single gunshot wound.
A 21-year-old man from the Manor, a 23-year-old man from Walkley and a 41-year-old man from Burngreave were all previously arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
