Police have launched a witness appeal after a robbery at a shop in Rotherham late last year.

The Top Shop store on Highthorn Road was targeted at around 7:40pm on December 15, with two men being sought by police.

One of the men is alleged to have stolen cash can cigarettes, while the other threatened staff with a knife.

Officers are trying to trace a man pictured on CCTV, who is described as white, at least 6ft tall, and of a large build.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
