Man who threw objects at police in Rotherham riot jailed
Dion Wragg will serve two years four months for his part in the disorder
A man who threw missiles at police during rioting outside a Rotherham hotel last summer has been jailed.
26 year old Dion Wragg, of Highstone Avenue in Barnsley, was caught on CCTV during clashes with officers outside the Holiday Inn Express in Manvers on August 4 2024.
He will serve two years nine months for violent disorder and has also been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order lasting nine years and six months.
A total of 110 people have now been charged in connection with the rioting, which came after the Southport stabbings and targeted a hotel housing asylum seekers.
91 of those suspects have since been jailed for a combined 223 years.
