Doncaster Sheffield Airport bosses face calls to extend consultation
Politicians want a decision on its future to be pushed back
Politicians in South Yorkshire have written to Doncaster Sheffield Airport bosses, asking them to extend a consultation on its future.
Peel Group has begun a six week consultation after it said the airport "may no longer be commercially viable."
But they are now facing calls to delay that deadline to the end of the year, with MPs including Nick Flectcher, Ed Miliband and Rosie Winterton backing the calls.
They've asked for the owners to "outline all options they are open to exploring for the future of the airport."
It includes the possibility of selling the site.
