A Doncaster school says it will open as normal today, as terror officers investigate posts made on social media.
McAuley Catholic High School confirmed it had referred the incident to police.
In a statement posted on its website, it says a police presence will be provided while the investigation continues, and a specialist officer will be there today to provide advice.
It insists there’s no information that would require it to close.
Pupils and parents are being urged to report anything of concern - and not to reply to any unwanted emails or social media posts.
In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: “We can confirm that police have received a report regarding potentially unauthorised and malicious posts made on a social media account.
“This information has now been passed to the North East Counter Terrorism Unit.
“Enquiries to establish the origin of this content are underway and the circumstances will be fully investigated.”
