Police name man who died after being found with head injury in Sheffield

Police have named a man who died after being found with a serious head injury in Sheffield.

Hamza Mohammed, 23, was taken to hospital from Staniforth Road in Darnall on Saturday (June 08).

He died the following Monday (June 10) and detectives began a murder investigation.

A 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident has since been released on bail.

Police have also questioned a 25-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender, and are continuing an appeal for witnesses.

Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Woodward, said: "Sadly, the life of a young man has been lost.

"We are continuing to urge anyone with information that could help in our investigation to come forward.
