Police investigating after two women had their bank cards stolen from cash machines in Sheffield have released CCTV images of a man they think could have vital information about the incidents.

It's thought they happened within the space of half an hour last month.

The first was at around 10.30am on Wednesday 22 July, when it's reported that a 71-year-old woman was at a cashpoint in the HSBC bank in Fargate, taking out money.

It's alleged an unknown man approached her, distracting her and taking her card from the machine. A sum of money was later withdrawn withdrawn from her bank account.

A short time later, at around 10.55am, a 62-year-old woman was at a cashpoint in Church Street. An unknown man is believed to have approached the woman as she placed her card into the machine.

The man is alleged to have snatched the card from the machine and fled the scene. The 62-year-old later discovered that the card was used at another cashpoint in Sheffield to withdraw money.
