South Yorkshire Police have cordoned off Martin Street in Upperthorpe, Sheffield after a 65-year-old man was found with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance on 30 September, just after 7am.
Officers have now taped off the street to understand how the man became injured.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
