An investigation is underway after a fatal collision in Sheffield.
Police say a 70 year old died after being hit by a car in Broomhill on Monday on Manchester Road.
Any witnesses are being asked to come forward.
A Police spokesperson said:
"A man has died following a road traffic collision in the Broomhill area of Sheffield on Monday, 16 January.
"At 1.48pm, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A57 (Manchester Road) involving a pedestrian and a grey Honda CR-V.
"It is believed that the Honda was travelling downhill on Manchester Road when it collided with the pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance where he sadly died last night (17 January) from his injuries. The family are currently being supported by specially trained officers.
"Officers are now appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward and assist with their enquiries."
