Sheffield man uses owl to propose to Harry Potter-loving fiance
An avid Harry Potter fan got a wedding proposal with a difference in Sheffield - after her fiance acquired the services of a Great Grey Owl to deliver the ring.
The wildlife centre’s Bird Team spent time practising flying Isaac the owl with a little pouch containing the ring. Pete, who lives in Sheffield, also came in to the centre to practice. At the end of the centre’s daily Animal & Bird Show on Monday 25 January, Isaac flew to Pete and he proposed to Laura - who said yes! Isaac has since been introduced to a female Great Grey Owl named Betty, and the wildlife centre is hoping that love will blossom between them.
