One-year-old seriously injured by a firework in Batemoor

A baby is recovering after being hit by a firework in Batemoor.
Police say that the one-year-old boy suffered serious injuries on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 1.30pm, his injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.
An investigation is now underway.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
"Police were called at around 1:30pm on 7 November 2021 to reports that a one-year-old boy had been hit by a firework in Batemoor Drive."
"The boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital via ambulance. His family are being supported by specialist officers at this time. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
"An investigation has been launched. Officers have spoken to a number of individuals in connection to the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
